If you are a starting a new business, or setting your offline marketing to digital marketing, then there are some critical factors that play very crucial role in website ranking. In this blog, we are going to talk about Page Speed which is a measurement for how fast you website loads.

Google has officially announced that a website’s page speed will be a ranking factor, so if your website do not load faster then chances are that you would not be able to rank first on the first page of search engine and you know majority of people don’t consider going to the second page.

So we are going to list some good practices that can help you increase your page speed.

1. Optimize Images – Bulky image can affect your page speed as it takes more time to load. Also make sure to use only those images which are required, they should be in right format. Also use free tools like tiny png before uploading images to website to compress them. You can use CSS sprites to create a template for images.

2. Browser Caching – Browsers can cache your website to load faster so that browsers do not need to reload the website again and again. There are lots of free tools like WP fastest Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP rocket which can enable cache in your website and make your website load super quickly.

3. Reduce Redirects – You sometime need to redirect from one url to another for some reasons, that takes additional time to load your website. For example if you are using a link that is using http and your website has https, then there will be additional redirect and that can cause your website load slower for each request.

4. Minify CSS, Javascript, and HTML – You can minify CSS, JS and HTML to speed your website dramatically. There are a lots of free tool that can help you do so like Fast Velocity Minify, WP Super Minify, etc. Minifying means removing unncessary characters like spaces, commas, etc.

5. Remove render blocking JS – When your browser encounters a script during the execution, it first stops and execute that script before it can continue. So you need to know that identify redundant part by using google Page Speed Insights and fix them by moving to another location.
